An Introduction To Athens Night Life

Athens is full of hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered. One place is Seven Jokers located in Voulis 7. It serves nice drinks and is always packed with people. An old-time classic is Rock n Roll Athens in Kolonaki. The bar reopened after a long time of being closed and is as good as it was. Just one problem in Athens: people still smoke inside bars which can get to you after a while.

My Favourite Bartender And Where To Find Him

I don’t have a favourite bar, but I do have a favourite bartender. His name is Yannis Petris: an awarded and very talented bartender. I would say he’s a bar whisperer. He created drinks lists for both Funky Gourmet and Opso in London. So our favorite bars are the ones he’s working at. Right now, you’ll find him at Tiki Bar. It’s one of our favourite places to go for after-service drinks with our team and offers some genuine tropical vibes near the Acropolis. There you can enjoy cocktails made using fresh fruits and organic and Fairtrade products. 

The Japanese Connection

We love going to Sushimou. It is a small, minimally designed sushi bar that seats 12, so reservations are vital. There you’ll find the best sushi in Athens prepared by our good friend Antonis, served in an authentic Japanese environment. Birdman is a contemporary Japanese pub in the heart of Athens. It serves straightforward drinks accompanied with new-style yakitori made with high-end Greek ingredients and other tasteful dishes. Its philosophy is to create dishes that perfectly match the drinks that are served.

A Classic Fish Restaurant

We’ve been going to Milos restaurant in the Hilton Athens for years. It’s a classic fish restaurant with excellent produce and fresh fish. The service is nice and the restaurant has managed to maintain good quality throughout the years.

Traditional Greek Feasting

To relax and socialise we go to Vezene, a modern and artistic bistro with a Mediterranean-inspired menu. It serves traditional tastes prepared with a twist. The dishes are designed to share and feast on while enjoying its friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
